Early Bird and After School Club is a friendly and welcoming group which provides care and fun for all our children in a bright and stimulating environment. We have experienced and caring staff who genuinely enjoy working with children in the relaxed environment of our club. All children are encouraged to join in the planned activities but we understand that sometimes the children will wish to rest or play on their own or focus on an activity of their choice.

Early Bird Club and After School Club runs every day of the week during school term times.

Breakfast and After School Club aims to:

  • provide high quality care and activities for your children
  • add to the life and well-being of its local community
  • offer children and their parents a service which allows them the flexibility of quality childcare from 8 am until 5.00 pm.

As a member of the Early Bird and After School Club, your child:

  • is in a safe and stimulating environment
  • has the chance to join with other children and adults to live, play, and learn together

Enrolment Form

All sessions need to be booked a week in advance to ensure food and equipment is purchased for your child/ren.  Please complete the enrolment form and return to the school office. It contains emergency contact numbers, with any dietary and medical conditions/allergies. Please keep us informed of any developments or changes in your child’s health.

Do feel free to arrange to drop into Breakfast and After School Club if you would like to see it at work or to speak with the staff.

The Sessions

Activities will be available during each session for children to take part in.  Examples of activities:  Cookery, Homework club, art and craft, outside play, quiet writing/drawing area, puzzles and games, appropriate DVDs and computer games.  Opportunities will also be available for the children to quietly read a book or listen to music.

Regular after school clubs

Children will be able to take part in the regular after school clubs organised by our school without paying the additional charge attached to that club unless the charge is for a specific purpose ie ingredients for cooking club.  Your child will be taken to the club and collected afterwards.

Snacks and Meals

Early Bird club includes breakfast.

After school club includes a light snack and drink.

Early Bird and After School Club make snacks and breakfast a social time at which children and adults eat together. We plan the menus for snacks and meals so that they provide the children with healthy and nutritious food. Do tell us about your child's dietary needs and we will make sure that these are met.

The fees are £2.00 per session for Early Bird Club and £5.00 per whole afternoon session (or £3.00 per part hour) for the After School Club. Fees must still be paid if children are absent without notice for a short period of time.

Fees are payable monthly, one month in advance at the beginning of the month.

Our fees are reviewed periodically and we undertake to give not less than 8 weeks notice of any increase.

There is an additional charge whenever a child is collected outside specified times without our prior arrangement (currently £3.00 for every hour or part hour).  Late collections of children will be charged at £3.00 per hour or part hour (at the Headteachers discretion).

Late payment will give rise to a £10.00 administration charge and dishonoured cheques will incur a £20.00 administration charge. Interest will be charged on unpaid fees outstanding for more than one month at the rate of 10% p.a. and we reserve the right to exclude children if fees remain unpaid for more than 7 days.

One month's notice should be given to withdraw a child from the clubs or reduce the number of sessions to be attended and in default fees will be payable in lieu of notice.

Full fees are payable during planned family holiday and sickness absences.

Early Bird and After School Club hopes that your child enjoys being a member and that he or she finds taking part in our activities interesting and stimulating. The staff are always ready and willing to talk with you about your ideas, views or questions.
